Pennsylvania leads the Nation in UFO Sightings

“UFO’s. . . Seeing is Believing”. The Pennsylvania Mutual UFO Network will present its 3rd Annual UFO Conferences on Saturday, October 9th, 2010, from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. at the Sheraton Hotel, 400 Oxford Valley Road, Langehorne, PA 19047; and on Saturday, October 16^th, 2010, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Westmoreland County Community College, 145 Pavillion Lane, Youngwood, Pa 15697.

Pennsylvania has been the epicenter of the world’s largest UFO wave since the summer of 2008. There have been over 650 UFO reports filed with MUFON from Pittsburgh to Philadelphia over the past two years.

“We’re getting clusters of sightings from every town from Pittsburgh to Philly along the southern half of the state,” MUFON Pennsylvania State Director John Ventre said. “We have 151 reports in the Pittsburgh-Westmoreland County area and 355 in the Philly area. I get reports of UFOs coming in from Lake Erie in Ohio and across Wheeling, West Virginia, into the Pittsburgh area and they are seen minutes later on the eastern part of the state.”

The Conference will present a combination of expert paranormal, abduction and UFO speakers.

Speakers include Richard Dolan, who has written numerous books on the government cover-up, Bill Birnes of “UFO Hunters,” Budd Hopkins on Abductions, Kathleen Marden on Betty and Barney Hill, Peter Robbins who investigated the Rendlesham Forrest UK incident, John Ventre of the Mutual UFO Network, Stan Gordon presenting Kecksburg then and now, and Leslie Kean who sued NASA presenting on Kecksburg’s 45th anniversary.

“The quality of speakers at this conference rivals the larger, pricier conferences that take place around the country,” Ventre said.

Professional presentations and vendor tables will highlight these conferences in an academic setting. “We also have a few surprises for the audience and they are not Halloween tricks,” Ventre said.

The Mutual UFO Network was founded in 1969 after the US Air Force concluded their 17-year Project Blue Book study of UFOs and concluded that UFOs are not a threat to National Security.

“They never said UFOs don’t exist,” Ventre said. “There is overwhelming evidence that they do. I believe this is an aviation safety issue. The only reason there are not more collisions is because of their ability to maneuver, not ours.”

MUFON has 2,700 members worldwide and over 900 certified investigators. The Pennsylvania MUFON branch has 129 members and 21 certified investigators. Anyone interested in joining MUFON can speak to John Ventre or one of the many investigators that will be at the conference from Pennsylvania, West Virginia, New York, New Jersey and Ohio. “One thing I know from conducting my investigations – if you’ve seen one, you believe,” Ventre said.

Two UFO Reports

MORRISTOWN — My wife took a bunch of images with her Nikon Cool Pix on August 13, 2009. She was having a cigarette about 1 AM, outside on our deck. She told me she saw a UFO and she pointed to Jupiter. I pulled out my cheap telescope and showed her that it was a planet. We went to bed and forgot about it. On Saturday morning she showed me the videos that she took. I couldn’t believe what I saw. Please review this AVI and let me know what it is. It is definitely a pentagon shaped object. CAMDEN — I was out back filming for a disc shaped object that I have been seeing. And out of nowhere a disc shape object shot across the sky above my head at a high rate of speed and made little to no sound; perhaps a slight high pitch whistle hum, like a wind sound. Look closely at 56 seconds into the video, goes by very fast! It’s on the left then makes a quick bend to the right.
TOMS RIVER — My girlfriend and I were on the patio cleaning crabs for dinner about 5 PM, and put on my polarized sunglasses and noticed a vapor trail above the clouds that had not moved or dissipated. I got our digital camera, and aimed it thru the lens of the sunglasses and snapped a few pictures of an object in relation to the rooftops. After twenty minutes passed there was still no dissipation of the vapor trail. It remained a thin sliver of light, brighter in the center. Now it moved vertically but not diagonally or horizontally. I went to our neighbors and asked if they had seen this too, and all did and were equally as perplexed. Over the period of about an hour its brilliance and angle remained constant, just moving up and down very slowly, contrary to the receding clouds. A vapor trail could not have remained intact for the duration of this event! Thanks to MUFON CMS

Ufologist Richard Hall Dies

It is with great sadness I bring you the following……..that is all.

Jerry Clark writes, “An e-mail from Mark Rodeghier, who got the news from Rob Swiatwek, reports the sad news that Dick Hall died of colon cancer. Dick was first a hero to me, then a valued friend. We’ve lost a giant.” Richard Hall is a legend in Ufology and worked closely with many of the great Ufologists. Over thirty years ago he compiled his documentary report, “The UFO Evidence” for the leading UFO investigation group, the National Investigations Committee on Aerial Phenomena (NICAP) in Washington, D.C. Few people at that time were aware of the scope and consistency of UFO reports by credible witnesses such as scientists, professional pilots, police officers, and even U.S. Air Force personnel.

“The UFO Evidence” was released in July 1964, coinciding with a new wave of sightings and received international news coverage as well as serious attention in the U.S. Congress. Less than two years later, as the sightings increased, the House Armed Services Committee held hearings about UFOs. Late in 1966, with prodding from Congress, an investigation of UFOs was undertaken through a contract with the University of Colorado. Richard made his data available to the university. When Dr. E. U. Condon, the scientific director, repeatedly made public statements ridiculing the UFO subject before the investigation was completed, the Colorado Project became equally controversial. The CIA and other Government agencies closely carefully monitored Richard Hall’s findings.

He was an acting director of NICAP and the Director of the Fund for UFO Research and he insisted that the focus should be on credible reports from qualified witnesses showing strong patterns. Over the years Richard worked diligently trying to obtain new and better evidence. I visited Rich in his home in Maryland, discussing the crash at Fort Dix/ Mc Guire AFB. He later wrote “UFO Evidence II” and “Uninvited Guests” that on page 139 states, ” Dr. Barry H. Downing, a Presbyterian clergyman, who believes the explanation for UFOs lies with the realm of faith. Citing Biblical examples of UFO-like phenomena, he argues that UFOs are part of the ‘heavenly transportation system’ carrying angels of God who interact with man, and there will never be absolute scientific proof – only acceptance by faith—until God’s plan determines otherwise” We hope God’s Air Force picked up Richard’s soul. He will be greatly missed!
